Last night Felipe was really tired so I laid in his bed with him but I was only there for about 3 minutes because he fell asleep immediately.
He had asked me to sing Arrurru to him but I didn’t even get through the whole song before I heard him snoring. When I mentioned it to him this morning he told me… “Sorry mom but I muted my ears and didn’t hear anything”.
He comes up with the funniest things
Today I was taking Felipe to school and since I didn’t have to go to work I had Francesca with me also in the car.
The conversation goes like this…
Felipe: Is daddy 37?
Felipe: Why is daddy not like you?
Me: He is, I am also 37.
Felipe: No, why isn’t daddy like you?
Francesca: What… Tiny?
They both start to laugh and I call Adrian to tell him and he tells me that I am not tiny I am just vertically challenged.
The most interesting part of all this is that I still don’t know what Felipe meant by his question.
So today I was driving Felipe to school and he asked if it rained all night. I told him that I wasn’t sure because I went to sleep early. He then tells me that he doesn’t know either because when he goes to sleep he turns his ears off and turns them back on when he wakes up.
The funniest thing was that he was grabbing his ears and turning then like if they were a volume knob.
A conversation that took place on my way to pick up Adrian at work…
Felipe: Why we pick up daddy?
Me: Because daddy’s car is broken…
Me: His window doesn’t close.
Me: I think the motor that closes the window is broken.
Felipe: OH! I know what happened…. The crocodiles ate motor…
Once we got to the shopping center where Adrian works…
Me: I wonder why the lights are all out.
Felipe: It’s windy… They are cold BRRRRRR.
Hope everyone had a safe and happy halloween. This year we didn’t do much because unfortunately Felipe had bronchitis and a double ear infection so we played it safe and stayed home considering it was drizzling.
Eventhough we didn’t go out I did dress them up in their costumes so my mom could see them. She had bought them matching superhero costumes so I thought it was only fair for her to enjoy seeing them. She came over and brought them some candy.
Early in the day Felipe had a small party at school with all his classmates. They did a little parade around all the school and then ended in their own classrooms for their parties.
Take a look at a selection of photos I took today: Halloween Photo Album

I just dropped off Felipe at school and he was wearing his pajamas… No I did not forget to change him. Today was Pajama Day at school and if you paid $1 to the United Way they could wear pajamas. I didn’t think many kids would do it but about 90% of the school were in their PJs including some teachers.

I am dealing with a sick boy. He woke up from his nap burning up and throwing up everything he has eaten today.

I am trying to recover from a sleepless night. Felipe’s fever peaked at 103.6 last night. Luckily it is gone now but he will be going to the doctor today.

I am still dealing with a feverish boy. It keeps on going up and down. Right when I think he is better his fever spikes. 😦 I hope he is doing better tomorrow morning.

Adrian and I apparently caught whatever Felipe had and now we are dealing with body aches. Thankfully he is better.

I am grateful that Felipe hasn’t had a fever in the past 8 hours. Let’s hope it is all gone. Now all we need to deal with is the nasty cough.

I am getting really upset at the roller coaster of fevers. Felipe spent the whole day fine and then after his late afternoon nap woke up with a fever. How long will these ups and downs last??? Of course it is worse to deal with when I am also sick as a dog. Can’t breathe and I am about to cough up a lung.

I am taking Felipe to the ER cuz the doctor is worried about his fevers.

I am thankful to finally know what is wrong with my baby… My poor boy has an ear infection and the flu. Both are easily resolved with medicine so in about 3 days my baby should start to get better.
Now I need keep Francesca healthy. Poor girl has been ignored for the past few days. I only carry her when it is feeding time.

I definitely have something to be THANKFUL about this Thanksgiving… My son is finally rid of his fever…
Who says you need to buy your child a walker… They are bound to find something that they would rather use.
Here is some proof that you don’t need to buy your child an expensive walker
Felipe has finally taken his first “Un-Assisted” steps. He took two steps on Thursday when Adrian got home from work but I didn’t thing those steps would continue because he hadn’t taken any more since that day.
Today while at my mother-in-laws house he walked over to Adrian while he was in the kitchen and here is a video of him walking over to me.
When my brother-in-law came a few months ago he showed us some wall decals he wanted to get for Felipe… We loved the one that he wanted so he ordered it. We got it a couple of months ago but we are saving it for later when Felipe can appreciate it more.
After that Adrian made it his goal to find something to put on the walls of our hallway. He finally found something and it was perfect for Felipe…
For Felipe’s birthday my mom and Osmart told me that they wanted to give him those wall decals as a gift… Luckily we found them at a cheaper price at Walmart and they ordered it… The only bad part was the waiting for them to be delivered but last night my mom brought it to us and we put it up…
Let’s hope that Felipe finds it entertaining.
